For those who know me, or know about what we do at American Majority, you know I believe strongly in training and equipping activists and future leaders on how to win. Unless we have real wins in the public arena, all we’re doing is having nice conversations about what great policy would look like instead …
Certainly, in a practical, real world environment, behavior would be forced to change. But here’s our first lesson: GOP and center-right politics do not operate in the real world. It is something of an alternate universe.
Winning will give the Republican Party a new, and false, sense of confidence, which could mask the significant deficiencies that remain in the Right’s political infrastructure. These deficiencies, if not rectified on a national scale, will make it impossible for the GOP to win the White House in 2016.
