The Right, however, needs to be careful in understanding what this is really all about; with all the buzzwords of analytics, modeling, targeting, technology being thrown around in center right circles, there is the distinct danger in forgetting that database technology is absolutely a means to an end, not an end in and of itself.
Certainly, in a practical, real world environment, behavior would be forced to change. But here’s our first lesson: GOP and center-right politics do not operate in the real world. It is something of an alternate universe.
Winning will give the Republican Party a new, and false, sense of confidence, which could mask the significant deficiencies that remain in the Right’s political infrastructure. These deficiencies, if not rectified on a national scale, will make it impossible for the GOP to win the White House in 2016.
We believe that if enough people will organize at the local level, it will lead to a groundswell that will bring national, generational change. This belief has rung true for the tens of thousands who have attended one of our trainings in 45 different states.
